[Usagi waited for the holidays to be properly over before she sought out the brunette. After all, holidays probably made for super busy times at the bakery, they definitely made for busy times at the agency. So she knocked on Makoto's bedroom door.]

Mako-chaaaaan.

[Busy was right. Between work at the bakery and the agency, the toy drive, the parties they've either thrown or attended for fun, and the girls' own New Years celebration of staying up to watch the first sunrise of the year, it's been a whirlwind last couple of weeks. This is the first time in a while Makoto's had a day to do NOTHING, what with plenty of food left over from all the celebrations making it easier for her to not have to cook, and she was definitely taking the advantage to nap this afternoon. It's hard to tell whether she was just coming out of it on her own or not when Usagi knocks, but either way she's quick to answer the door and greet the girl with a smile that's only a teensy bit tired.]

Usagi-chan?

Sorry, did I wake you? I know you've been working like, triple overtime. That said! I came with a peace offering for waking you up! [She held out a tray with Mako's favorite tea stooping.]

I can come back when you're more awake.

Nah nah, you're fine. I think I was waking up anyway. [She'll take the rose tea with a grateful smile.] What's up?

Um, I wanted your opinion on something... The uh... senshi secret, as it were...

[Oh. So that's why Usagi woke her up.]

Come on in, then. [She'll gesture for Usagi to sit on the bed.] Did something happen or...?

[She shook her head.]

I mean, no... nothing... like serious. I was just thinking... I was talking to a few people at the knight ceremony and how open they were about everything.

I think, well I mean, I was just wondering if I- if we... well no, if I should hide it. I mean, if everyone has such amazing powers here, then it's not such a big deal, right?

Hm... That's always a hard question. My main motive for keeping it all a secret here's been to keep YOU guys safe. In case someone evil found out about me, then did the guesswork to figure out about you guys. But then... it seems like half the people I meet are able to see through me or figure it out almost right away.

I... yeah, I always thought "what if an enemy comes!" and then I thought... well... outside of Beryl and the Generals, our enemies... already knew who we were. Diamond had captured me, you, Ami-chan, and Rei-chan and Nemesis had taken our powers so we were outside of our transformations... then the Witches 5 and Nehellenia could see into our dreams and minds... and of course Galaxia just... knew.

So even if they come here... I mean, outside of Beryl, they already knew, and... well I'm stronger than Beryl could ever imagine, so are you, so is every senshi of the Sol System. So it can't... be an enemy thing. And what enemy do we have here in Verens that we need to be separate?

Well yeah, the enemies of our past I'm not TOO worried about.

[Well, save for Galaxia. Something about the way SHE killed them all and then used them as puppets to torture Usagi... it never settled with her.]

But you think there's no one from other worlds that could be that bad? A lot of our enemies were disguised as charming, ordinary people.

No.... I know there are, I've already had a couple people threaten to kill me... though, don't worry, it's a totally empty threat... or well, more like I can totally take them if it gets down to it.

But... I mean, yeah there might be people just as bad, but there are just as many people who are as strong and maybe even stronger than us here and they're plenty out in the open. I'm not saying we go over the amulets and be like "Hey my name is Usagi Tsukino and I'm also Sailor Moon," but maybe... it won't be such a big deal to hide a transformation or to let those who know us as different people know the truth.

I mean... Utena-chan has no idea I'm both, neither does Apple-chan, and maybe that's for the better with Apple-chan since she and I didn't have the best start when I was... ya know... myself, but why keep it from Naminé or anyone else we trust?

For a good few moments Makoto's silent... but then she gives a soft nod.

"That's a decent compromise. It's not too far off with what we have with Motoki-san and Una-san and Asanuma-kun back home either.

"Alright, if you think it's okay to be a bit more open about this, I'll follow your lead."

"I... I mean, if you want to keep it, Mako-chan, I won't reveal you, and I won't really talk about Serenity unless they've already met her... that part of me... I don't know, there are a lot of royals here so maybe it's just as silly to keep Serenity a secret... Eventually, everyone will know about her back home anyways... I don't know. I just don't want to be treated differently..."

"I feel you; you don't people feeling like they need to put on airs for you. Serenity... I feel like that's a little trickier, but that's your call, and I'm not sure if that's just my past instincts wanting to protect you. As for me? Anyone you trust with your identity I can probably trust with mine. I'll make sure to task before I reveal yours or the other girls' though. Like I said; the main reason I wanted to protect my identity was to protect yours."

She leaned over and rested her head on Makoto's shoulder, smiling as she closed her eyes.

"What did I do to deserve you girls? I must be truly blessed."

Makoto wraps an arm around her and pats her head with the same hand.

"Trust me; you've done plenty."

"I love you, Mako-chan. I'll always love you and the girls."

"I'll always love you too~"
