[She knows Makoto is right, but she also wanted to sulk.

She won't, of course.

Never any time to ever sulk, honestly. Always too much to do, too much to take care of, plans to make, and governments to contact.]

It's going to take more than tea to keep me calm around some of those people. There's a couple people who their greatest joy is having blown up planets with billions of people on them. I could handle Galaxia... I knew what was in her heart at the end of it all... but I look into theirs and they just...

[Being the senshi who loves all is not the easiest when faced with those who have nothing but contempt for all others.
She sighed.]

I know I'm making excuses... and I know I'll pick myself back up. [It's what she does, even if the pickup takes a while, but that is all dependent on what brought her down.

No one is dead or gone so getting back to her old self will be a matter of days if not hours.]

Maybe next time I'll sit with friends though.

[She wasn't saying Usagi couldn't sulk; she just wanted to get those doubts out of the way. Her princess saying she didn't want to be queen is a bit worrying, after all.

In fact, she was going to say it was alright to sulk until Usagi brought up blowing up planets.]

What? You're kidding... Why would they let people like that run around free, let alone give them a government job? Do they know what these people have done?

Proooobably not? He brought it up in an attempt to scare me and chase me off, to make me think he was the lowest of the low and that I clearly should hate him.

[It would be hilarious if it wasn't true.]

If he ever met Galaxia though, she's smack him... or just kill him, hard to say with her. [Galaxia was someone who respected Usagi and pretty much no one else. Usagi wasn't even sure she made that list.]

Is he somebody the senshi need to keep an eye on or take care of?

[Mako no, Mr. Death is scary!]

[She shook her head.]

He's mean but he's... well he's completely and totally human in every other way. He's a General in an army but I don't really know how since he didn't know staying out in the sun too long can get you sunburnt.

I mean, he wants to kill me but he's not going to.

[She has to blink at the part about sunburns. Geez, what an idiot. The part about wanting to kill Usagi isn't something she takes lightly though.]

Hmph, he'd better not. Alright, I trust you too. Let me know if the situation changes though; I've got your back now.

[She smiled and brightened up considerably.]

I know you do. Although, the only reason he threatens me is because I make it a point of annoying him. [She's not all innocent in this.] I tied to him to a chair with vines and flowers not too long ago. Last month, in fact.

[And she means it too, grinning for a few seconds before her expression softens, sunflowers blossoming around Makoto's seat.]

Seriously, have I told you how proud I am of you yet? You've got a house of your own and keeping a roof over all our heads, you're getting into all these politics and Arehtei wrangling so this place stays together, heck you're even running a wedding agency now. AND still moonlighting as a senshi. [Pun absolutely intended.] You've grown a LOT since I first met you, Usagi, but this is STILL unbelievable.

[She blushed and bowed her head a bit, smiling, though she didn't feel as incredible as Makoto made it sound.

She had never bothered to list everything.]

I um... I had a conversation with Rei, and we talked about how back home... I never took the time to really... stand on my own. I mean, not in a fight, but I was always with someone. Luna or you and the other girls, or Mamoru, or my family. She said I should take my time here to really... just find out who Usagi Tsukino is.

[Because while their enemies had attacked her, they never attacked her with "what ifs" like with the girls. Her dream was to protect Earth with Mamoru and the girls, her dream was to BE married to Mamoru, to be best friends with all the girls. So pulling away being a senshi wouldn't be enough. She was always strongly rooted in the past , having one of the more fluid connections to her past self.

She smiled and couldn't help but blush deeper.]

I um... I learned a few recipes too. Nothing... nothing fancy, but I mean, I can make more than rice and a sandwich now.

[She nods.]

It looks good on you. You're doing great here and you'll do great back home, even if we don't remember this. The whole planet would let you stay queen for 900 years if they didn't want you to.

I don't mind it. It gets kinda lonely though.

[She shifted and moved so she could hug Makoto. She was a cuddler by nature and while Setsuna gave it her best shot, no one hugged like Makoto and Minako. She smiled.]

I really do wonder what made them decide that, ya know? I know there's some great... thing that I fix and that's when they make me and Mamo-chan king and queen, but I never planned it for myself. I mean, you pretend to be a princess, you don't actually expect it to happen.

[Makoto stands up into the hug gladly, even as the the tea kettle begins to whistle and the curry pot is close to being done.]

I bet. It's a big responsibility to take on. But you're also one of the most loving people I know. You're an amazing judge of character and you have the best balance between justice and mercy I've ever seen. If anyone can pull off being the queen of the whole planet, it's you. And you're not going to be alone when it happens either. You'll have Mamoru, and all of us. And probably your family too, once they recover from finding out their Usagi's going to become queen of everything.

I still haven't even told them about being Sailor Moon. Mama would... well, first she'd ground me and then she'd ground all of you for putting all of ourselves in danger.

[And the only thing more terrifying than a pissed off Ami was a pissed off Ikuko-mama. Not even Wiseman would be able to handle her.

She took a deep breath.]

I will have all of you, that's true. I'll have the smartest, bravest, nicest, and strongest girls in the whole universe helping me out. [She smiled.]

I can do anything with you all by my side... even... be queen of the planet... I still can't believe people want me to be queen... this has to be... this has to be like... it I can understand making Mamoru a king, I guess I'm just... not sure how I become the woman Chibiusa is so proud of...

Do you think... Serenity had a better handle on stuff like this? I mean... she - I am the heir to the moon kingdom throne. I can still... claim that throne even now.

[Makoto hears that. If her parents were still alive, they'd probably be furious too; she had to get her protective temper from somewhere OTHER than her past self, right?

She seems to take that last past part seriously though, pondering deeply as she finally tends to the curry and tea again... before cracking a wry smile over her shoulder.]

Hm... If I remember right, you spent a LOT of time sneaking off to Earth, especially when Mercury had a super dry lesson plan that day, sooo I think you two were about the same on that front.

[Yes, that was an attempt at lightening the mood.]

Seriously, though, I think you being unsure of being ready is a good thing, as long as you don't let it hamper you. I mean think of all the bad guys we've fought that WANTED to be in charge. Not to mention it means you'll be actively looking for ways to make yourself better, and to make things better for your subjects.

[She blushed but smiled, glad that at least she and Serenity had that in common. Still, maybe Serenity did have more knowledge on this stuff... at least in other matters. She could...

Do you think, knowing the future, I could be better than Neo-Queen Serenity is now? Like... could I stop Death Phantom and make Chibiusa feel more loved?

Hm... honestly? I dunno. I mean you're right, you do have some knowledge about the future now, but there's about 900 years in between you still DON'T know. Not to mention stuff about stable time loops and all that. Setsuna-san might be the one to ask about that since it's all time stuff. In the mean time... I guess all you can really do is try your best.

[And really, that's all most people can do without knowing the future, right?]

[She nods, smile brightening as Usagi's does.] Yeah, down below! And Setsuna-san said that he knows about our identities already, right?

There's also Snow White, Tadashi [blush] and Baymax, Utena-chan, Allura-chan... Heck, we wouldn't have gotten to know Chibiusa or Pluto as well as we do if it wasn't for dumb time stuff.

He does, he's been with me since the very beginning, and if I'm honest, I wouldn't have gotten through half the stuff here if it weren't for him.

I even gave him a, well I guess whatever would be equal to a henshin pen for his keyblade. He's my little brother in every way but blood. His light is just like mine.

[She nods, smile warm but eyes determined, focused. Oak seedlings, Peruvian lilies, and white roses bloom around her.]

I guess that makes him a prince of ours then, huh?

Heee, he is a little prince, my sweet little prince. But he'll love you back just as strong. His heart is pure gold.
