Goodbye Notes
Jan. 31st, 2018 06:26 pm[There’s a thick envelope next to the journal Makoto writes down all the memories she’s made and the people she’s met. “In Case I Leave” is written on the back in bold characters, while “From Makoto, With Love” is jotted down along the edge of the flap. The inside is filled with short but lovingly written messages, some as old as the end of the Dream Dust event, some a little newer. Each one has a recipient’s name written across the top and is simply signed “Makoto.” In another envelop are packets of cards, recipes written down and labeled to be shared among her loved ones.]
Usagi:
You’re probably wanting to hole yourself in your room and cry alone. And that’s alright for a little while. Just don’t forget to let other people comfort you, alright? You’ve gotten too good at trying to be strong for everyone’s sake, but it’s okay to be weak too. You taught me that. You have Setsuna-san and Luna-chan and Naminé-chan and Sora-kun and a few dozen other people here to love and support and help you, and I trust you with them. Maybe this world will bring me back someday (hopefully with my memories this time), and if not I’ll be there for you when you come back home. Remember to take care of yourself in between taking care of everyone else. I love you tons.
Setsuna:
Setsuna-san, sorry for leaving you and Luna alone to take care of our princess again. Make sure she doesn’t take this too hard, will you? (You know how she gets in these situations, probably better than I do by now…) At least you have Naminé-chan and Sora-kun to help you out. Thank you for that, by the way. You have no idea how relieved I am that Usagi-chan has at least one other person from home by her side here. I wanted you to know you’re an incredible person and an amazing sister-in-arms, and people don’t give you (or your planet) nearly as much credit as you deserve. Know that I love you, and I’ll see you when you guys get home, if not sooner.
Luna:
Luna, I’m sorry that I’m leaving you and the rest of the house alone, but I know you’ll be able to help take care of the others. Usagi-chan’s already a lot more at peace with you around; thank you for being such a calm listening ear to all of us, even to me. Take care of yourself too in the mean time. I love you and I’ll see you when you get home.
PS: Here’s my recipe for those tuna treats I made at Christmas. Both of our blondes are getting pretty good at cooking, aren’t they? They could use the practice, and probably a distraction.
Naminé:
You’re an incredibly sweet girl and an amazing housemate. Think you can help Setsuna-san and Sora-kun look out for Usagi-chan for me? She’s probably going to try and bottle things up or overwork herself, but don’t let her get away with that. I know you’re a lot braver than people might think at first since you’re on the quiet side. There’s a set of recipe cards right above the spices; keep practicing those recipes for me, okay? You and Sora-kun are from the same world, right? Usagi-chan’s getting married in our world in a couple years, and he’s already on the guest list, so I’ll ask him to bring you along too. Can’t wait to see you again!
Sora:
I know you’re already doing it, but thank you for helping comfort Usagi-chan and the others. You’re an incredible little prince, every bit as brave and kind amazing as my princess, and a great friend in your own right. I’m glad I got a second chance to see you again, and if this world brings me back hopefully I can remember you this time. You at least better show up to Usagi-chan’s wedding when it happens back home, and I’m counting on you to bring Squall, Naminé-chan, and Arden too. See you then!
Fluttershy:
You’re an incredibly sweet girl and on your way to becoming a powerful magical guardian. I know you and your friends will keep growing stronger and help keep your world safe. You’ve got a LOT of potential, awesome powers, and most importantly, a good gentle heart to guide you. Take care and keep up on your training.
PS: If you’re back and I’m not here to greet you, I hope your world’s doing well and that you and Sailor Moon are friends again.
Tadashi, Baymax, and Honey Lemon:
Thank you guys for being such amazing friends from the start. Between Tadashi and Baymax, I’m ove almost o okay, more like halfway over my fear of airplanes, and you’ve both been amazing to hang out with and try new recipes out on. And Honey Lemon, you’re a great baking partner, and I absolutely loved seeing that blue rose. Baymax, don’t stop working on your music collection or your sense of beauty. I left some recipes for all of you, as well as some book titles on herbal medicine and any poisonous plants Baymax might need to treat for. (Figured this is something you might wanna know about flowers, Tadashi.) Between the three of you, the island’s tech is going to get a whole new makeover. Don’t stop supporting each other, try not to blow yourselves up too badly, and take care.
PS: Pluto is totally a planet.
PPS: If either of you are reading this, then welcome back to Verens, sorry if I’m not there to greet you, and I hope you guys kept your memories this time. Even if you don’t, I still mean everything I said up above, even if half of it might not make sense. I miss you both like crazy, but I know you’re taking care of each other back home and doing incredible things. Wherever you are, please take care.
Bridge and Daniel:
Bridge, you’ve been an amazing friend and a great customer. I’m sorry I won’t be there to get you those meals anymore, but now that you’ve got somebody from home (sorta kinda) I hope you’ll be alright. Your music is amazing, and I hope you find someone who can help you make those emotion-powered instruments.
Daniel, you’re a really sweet guy and a great warrior, and it’s great meeting a guy who knows his way around rose breeds~ Here’s the recipe for the lavender hot chocolate so you can keep making it.
You two take care of yourselves and each other now.

The knighting ceremony meant a lot to me and to everyone else, and even if I’m not here anymore I’ll do my best to be the Knight of Thunder for you and my own princess. You’re going to be a great queen when you go back home, but in the meantime please take care of yourself and the others still here.
Utena:
Thank you so much for being a good friend to us during our time here, and for trying to help me with the airships when we first got here. You’re a very brave and caring girl, and you’re going to become an incredible warrior. Thank you so much for being an amazing boss, and for accepting me back after my first absence. It’s been an honor to get to know you as my employer, teacher and friend; I’ve learned SO much about baking and actually running a bakery from you. I know you’ll take good care of Sweetie Pies because you always do, but just remember to take care of yourself.

To all my coworkers at Sweetie Pies, thank you so much for accepting back after I left the last time. You’ve all been amazing to work with, and I know that Sweetie Pies will grow even bigger and better with you guys to take care of her. Here’s a bunch of my personal recipes if anybody wants practice at home; I don’t know if any of these are good enough to add to the menu but consider permission given if you think so. I’ll miss you all, and take good care of yourselves, the bakery, and each other in the mean time.
